Debugging Prosthetics
The loading screen for the future is taking way too long
It’s a mistake — even an absurdity — that prosthetics and artificial organs are still a niche.
I believe this sector deserves better !! And I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make something happen.
This isn’t a marginal topic; it’s about the body, survival, dignity. If the heart fails, if a limb is lost, if a sense disappears — everyone cares. The reasons this sector is still small is because it’s been stalled by high costs and slow systems-NOT DEMAND !
Indeed, the prosthetics ecosystem is full of inefficiencies: fragmented R&D, massive fixed costs, and decade-long development timelines.
Beyond helping amputees, it’s a gateway to much broader fields and the development of new areas: humanoid robotics, human augmentation, advanced brain-machine interfaces, bioengineering, organ transplantation, and transplants.
So, why a niche? Because the market is blocked and very opaque.
It is blocked due to very particular factors which led to a vicious cycle : Highly personalized product → Complex components & materials → Long clinical adaptation time → Very high development costs → Slow approval from institutions → Years to generate revenue → Unattractive to traditional investors → Founders under pressure or get bought out → (back to start).
